    Which course is better LLB or BA LLB?

BBA LLB (Hons) Course

The BBA LLB is a dual degree integrated programme for undergraduates. The official title of the degree is Bachelor of Business Administration - Bachelor of Legislative Law. BA LLB (Hons) Course

Department Activities

Panel Discussion on Indian Penal Code Held at Indus University

On August 06, a distinguished panel discussion on the Indian Penal Code (BNS) was organized at the prestigious Indus University in Ahmedabad. The event featured Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandya, the retired Principal of Samarpan Law College, Gandhinagar, as the Chief Guest. During the lecture, he provided detailed information on the changes made to India's legal system, specifically the Indian Penal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure, effective from July 01. Dr. Pankaj Pandya explained how the new laws are designed to establish a modern justice system, incorporating electronic mediums such as 'Zero FIR', online filing of complaints with the police, and the issuance of summons via SMS (mobile phone message). The reforms also mandate the videography of crime scenes. Under the new laws, individuals can now report incidents through electronic communication without having to visit a police station, making case registration simpler and faster, and allowing the police to take immediate action.The event saw participation from more than 50 students from Indus Law, who engaged in a Q&A session to clarify their doubts.

Field Visit & Survey

With a view to gaining insight into the awareness, perception, and experiences of the residents of nearby villages of Indus University, law students from the Indian Institute of Law, Indus University, conducted a field survey on fundamental rights as enshrined in the Constitution of India under the guidance of Dr. Priya Khandivar and CS Vihasi Shah. The survey aimed to assess the awareness, access, and protection of these fundamental rights within the community.

Group Discussion on "Legal Aspects of Contract Drafting"

Indus Institute of Law organized a group discussion on "Legal Aspects of Contract Drafting" on October 05, 2023, bringing together students from various law programs for a valuable exchange of ideas and insights. The discussion aimed to enhance participants' understanding of contract drafting's legal intricacies, foster critical thinking and communication skills, and divided students into groups to discuss specific aspects of contract drafting. These discussions were crucial for shaping future legal professionals and advancing their expertise in the dynamic field of contract law.
